Driver Story
Meet Alex Solomon
Alex Solomon started drifting in late 2018 at Piedmont Drift and quickly fell in love with it. His first drift car was a 1990 Miata.
From there, he wanted to progress as fast as possible, so he switched it up and grabbed a 2003 350Z. At this point Alex has been in the drift game for six to seven years and has gone through multiple chassis, including an S13, IS300, Mustang, C5, and others while trying different things to see what he liked best.
He ultimately ended up with a 350Z and a 240SX, which he jokes are typical drift cars. Over the last three years, Alex has been fortunate enough to help drivers at the track with tire services, whether they need new tires, a debeaded tire popped back on, or information on the right set of tires for their setup.
He loves helping the drift community in every way possible. Alex is currently chasing the competition side of drifting and is hoping for a solid 2026 competition season.
