Piedmont Drift Hub

OG layout, Boss circuit, and camping weekends

Piedmont Drift is a longtime Southeast grassroots favorite with a laid-back paddock, strong tandem action, camping weekends, and two layouts that keep drivers and media coming back.

Track basics

Piedmont Drift events run at Piedmont Dragway in Julian, North Carolina. Two-day events are common, camping is part of the draw, and Mobile Tire Center handles on-site tire service with cash at the gate.

Address and planning

6750 Holts Store Rd, Julian, NC 27283. This is a solid stop for drivers who want tandem-friendly layouts, a familiar community feel, and a relaxed event atmosphere.

Layout notes

OG and Boss Circuit

  • OG layout: flat left, flat right, over-the-top drop into a left hander, wide right sweeper, then uphill into a left semi-hairpin.
  • Boss Circuit: tighter and less beginner-friendly, with tire walls around the outside and an open infield that makes for great media angles.
  • Both layouts are well suited for tandems and keep the track feeling active all weekend.
Community notes

Why drivers keep coming back

  • Ryan Deavers and Kristin have built a relaxed event culture with a long-running local following.
  • Nathan first met Ryan in 2008 when they were both drifting RX-7s, so this page sits on real scene history rather than random summary text.
  • Best fit for drivers who want a welcoming paddock and plenty of tandem-friendly laps.
